The leather sheath is well built with quality leather and the belt loop has a button with allowed me to add a d-ring and leather belt keeper loop to convert it to a dangler sheath.The 1095 steel is uncoated so you will need to keep it coated with mineral oil, frog lube. SENTRY, or some other protectant to prevent rust. You can always force a patina to help protect it.Overall a great small woodscan knife
